Celebrities and Cosmetic Surgery: A Match Made in Heaven

It is no secret that a number of our favorite celebrities have used some kind of cosmetic surgery or injectables to reach their desired appearance, and with all the financing and influence they have we can practically gain a glimpse into the future of their attitude towards cosmetic surgeries and injectables.

Now that the taboo has fallen in Hollywood many celebrities are opening up about what they have used or still use, so let us look at who is using what and why.

A beacon of mid-2000s empowerment, in 2018 Tyra opened up about the rhinoplasty she had early on in her career and was quoted saying “I had bones in my nose that were itching and growing. I could breathe fine, but I had cosmetic surgery to be sure” .

She has gone on to encourage the concept that women should feel comfortable in flaunting what they have got or fixing it if they have got insecurities about it.

K. Michelle

This R&B singer is a prime example of the dark side of cosmetic surgery, when it comes to who you go to for your therapy. Falling for the black-market of cosmetic surgery, Michelle had silicone filler inside her buttocks and thighs.

For five years these shots gave her problems until in 2017 she started to experience pain through her thighs, which doctors attributed to the silicone previously injected spreading through them. She’s since gone through several bouts of silicone injection removal but isn’t finding it an easy procedure.

Any type of botched injection removal will be substantially more challenging than the injection itself, particularly when done out of a medical clinic. While it’s important to look at all of the benefits that cosmetic surgery has attracted to celebrities, I feel it is also important to check at the other side of it all.

Heidi Montag

Famous (or perhaps infamous) from the area of cosmetic surgery for going through 10 cosmetic surgeries in 1 day.

Hills celebrity Heidi Montag now admits she was in over her head and ill-informed about all of the repercussions that come with that lots of improvements, particularly at once. She has since been quoted saying”I was definitely way in over my head. I am happy it worked out and you can not actually reverse time,”.

Courteny Cox

In 2017, Friends star Courteny Cox revealed that she had had all her fillers dissolved, claiming”I am as natural as I can be. I feel better since I look like myself,”. I think this shows a healthy return to her normal self, and while cosmetic surgery and botox can help some folks feel more like themselves, sometimes it’s very important to go another direction.

Chrissy Teigan

A lot people recall Ariel in the beloved show Modern Family as the sweet young Alex Dunphy, but a lot of us were not aware of the pain she had been going through with her gigantomastia. In 2015, Ariel Winter opened up about how her breast reduction surgery and how much that has improved her quality of life, reducing not only the awkwardness of looking for clothes that fit her, but also the pain that came with standing for extended amounts of time.

Kaley Cuoco

The Other Side The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco maintains her rhinoplasty and breast augmentation were the best things she ever did, together with lip fillers.

She’s been quoted saying “As much as you want to love your inner self, I am sorry, you also need to look great,” she said. “I don’t think you need to do it for a guy or anybody else, but if it makes you feel confident, that is remarkable.”

Tori Spelling

Beverly Hills 90210 star and mother of five, Tori Spelling, opened in 2011 to Good Morning America saying she regretted getting her breast implants, saying”Well I received my boobs done in my early 20’s and if I had known it would or might impact production of milk, I’d never had had them done,”. Perhaps an illustration of how these decisions at this young age can go on to influence the life we never expect ourselves to be alive. Heidi Montag Tyra Banks Ariel Winter

Another celeb who hasn’t been bashful about letting people get a glimpse into her life, such as the less than glamorous components, like altitude illness and migraines. Back in 2019 she spoke out about becoming Botox in her armpits, that has been demonstrated to help prevent excessive sweating. Beyond that she has also revealed she’s also had liposuction treatment to her pits, adding length to her arms.

This year she has been documenting the process of getting her breast implants removed, and has been quoted saying “They have been great for me for several years but I am just over it, I would love to have the ability to zip a dress in my size, lay on my belly with pure relaxation!”

Joan Rivers

The late Joan Rivers was in her time that the queen of plastic surgeries, the majority of which she says she adored. Although she wasn’t pleased with the results of her liposuction, saying”I did not take a look at the physician and the result was not smooth”. Another complete testimony to the importance of finding the perfect doctor who understands exactly what they are doing.

Sharon Osbourne

Far from shy of talking her cosmetic surgeries, Osbourne was quoted in 2016 she had been on”confront three and counting”. She has opened up to Folks about how she processed all of the surgeries, including an abdominoplasty (tummy tuck), a couple face-lifts, liposuction, and a whole lot more.

For anybody searching for inspiration in becoming one with all the changes you may decide to make on your own body, Sharon is the girl.

This version boasts a balance between a healthy lifestyle and cosmetic surgery, she was quoted saying “I’ve a very simple, healthful life, which works wonders. I drink a great deal of water, watch what I eat, and workout… but I owe the quality of my skin to my cosmetic surgeon.”

Maybe this attitude of the”middle path” as the Buddhists might call it, is the future of makeup. I hope reading this has shone some light on the world of celebrity cosmetic surgery and injectables, and given a balanced idea of both the good and bad that’s come from their personal experiences.
